Investing in Solutions: Bader Philanthropies Supports Family Promise of Ozaukee County

Family Promise of Ozaukee County is proud to share that we have been awarded a generous grant from Bader Philanthropies to support our Homeless Prevention and Shelter Programs in 2025.

This grant will help fund critical services across three of our core programs: Portlight Shelter, our Rapid Rehousing Program, and our Homeless Prevention efforts. These programs work together to address both immediate and long-term needs for families and individuals facing housing instability. Through case management, emergency shelter, rent assistance, and access to vital community resources, we’re able to provide a comprehensive support system for those in crisis.

In 2023, 20% of our shelter guests were aged 50 and older—a demographic that is growing rapidly across the country. With Bader’s support, we can better meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors, reduce the trauma associated with homelessness, and help more people move into stable housing.

We are deeply grateful to Bader Philanthropies for investing in innovative, local solutions that prevent and end homelessness in Ozaukee County.
