Family Promise Named 2026 Non-Profit of the Year
Family Promise of Ozaukee County is honored to be named the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year at the Ozaukee Impact Awards.
This recognition celebrates the organizations making a meaningful difference in Ozaukee County, and we are incredibly grateful to have Family Promise recognized for the impact of our work supporting individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity.
This award belongs to our entire Family Promise community. It reflects the dedication of our staff, board members, volunteers, donors, congregations, business partners, community organizations, and countless individuals who believe that everyone deserves a safe and stable place to call home.
Over the past year, Family Promise has continued to strengthen programs that help families not only find shelter, but build a path toward long-term stability. From emergency shelter and housing assistance to eviction prevention, rapid rehousing, case management, and stabilization services, our team works alongside families to address the challenges that can make housing stability difficult.
We also believe that collaboration is at the heart of lasting community impact. Family Promise works closely with local nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, congregations, healthcare providers, and community members to connect families with the resources and support they need. By working together rather than working alone, we can create stronger solutions for our neighbors.
“Being named Nonprofit of the Year is an incredible honor, but it is also a reflection of our community,” said Mike Cosgrove, CEO of Family Promise of Ozaukee County. “Our staff and volunteers show up every day for families who need a helping hand, and our community continues to show us what is possible when we work together. We are grateful to everyone who makes this work possible.”
We are especially thankful to the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center and the Ozaukee Impact Awards for recognizing the important work being done throughout our community.
This award motivates us to keep moving forward. We will continue working to prevent homelessness, provide safe shelter, connect families to resources, and build partnerships that create lasting change.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Family Promise journey. This recognition belongs to all of us—and most importantly, to the families we have the privilege of serving.
Together, we can build a community where everyone has a place to call home.
